I agree with you on the quality of the pencils and the paper. I use a variety but I always use a mid to high end quality regarding pencils, pens and ofc paper. The paper makes such a huge difference in both the richness of the colour and the texture.
Sometimes the colour is sooo vibrant, mine is usually a bit softer then my digital work simply due to the way I colour and blend. I am also quite fond of the texture in the picture above which comes from my bristol board. I get a much richer colour when I use a paper and a blender. Its just different thats all. With the fur con coming up I will be sure to upload a couple more traditional pieces which may be up for grabs ( or at least a print of it )
And thanks for the comment. I am so pleased to see some interest in traditional work in a time where so many just tell me it is a waste of time and money.

How the hell can it be a waste of time and money? I find traditional way better and more fun to make too, it shows true skills as well like I mentioned before. And it's fairly cheap too. And yes, colouring pencils create a softer texture to the image! It's simply nicer imo :P
Oo thanks :)
And yeah, its not that bad, it can get expensive when you suck ( buying pro stuff and wasting it due to little skill )
But a lot of people only but digital stuff now ( o well ) so my traditional stuff takes up so much space after a while
( another reason i dont draw on larger then 8.5 x 11 unless someone orders it )
