He has many secrets.. but this is perhaps his darkest. Every night, at some point, when the hour is just so, he slips away into the bathroom. It's said that once, someone caught him doing this. He was never heard from again.
Be aware that you are about to witness a private moment that was never meant to be shared with the outside world.
Also, be warned. If you try to tell me it's broken, I'll tell you you're a liar, and an impatient one.

It might be stretching things far, but I think I'm quite in love with your animations. I'm fully smitten by your regular drawings, but things like these are what make me truly admire you as an artist. You inspire me, lol. There's just something about your work that gets me itching to start drawing and be creative.
I just love it all together. I might feel the urge to build a shrine while I'm at it. XD

It's very very well done, no denying that. I understand that he's washing his hands...but what is his "secret" that he's supposed to be concealing that the person found him doing? *doesn't fully understand* Or was it simply the act of him singing in the bathroom?
This character (who's name escapes me. Shame on me) has always instilled a sort of fear and intimidation in the back of my head. Not necessarily someone I want to meet in an alley, that's for sure. But it's not the attire or anything, it really think it's his eyes. They're really scary. I just have to say great job on making such an imposing character.

I really do like the animation of this. Grant's lip-sync with the lyrics was rather spot on. I found myself watching his teeth and his eyes, the quality of the drawing and the coloration there somehow alluring to the eyes during his performance.
The only issue I have with just how long the screen stays empty. As an actor, I am familiar with using empty space to increase tension and make the instance of action that much more gratifying. I also understand spanning out the wait to make those too impatient to appreciate the piece as a whole cop out befor eactually getting to the meat of the piece. But after a minute or so, even the patient start to lose focus, their willingness to sit around for an unspecified amount of time to see something they have no inkling of whether or not they'll enjoy rapidly declining. I dunno, maybe that's just me and my thoughts when connecting them to what I experience in my field.
I must say, I'm rapidly falling in love with Grant's design as a whole. The wonderful array of expression that you've given to him, even in this submission alone, are gratifying to witness. The subtle changes in the position of his eye brows, small changes his eye lids, and the quirks of his lips and mouth, all wonderful details that are fun to watch in motion. So kudos on that Cap.

The lip-synching was pretty cool. There were some parts where I think they didn't match up on every cue, and the phrase "over and over" might have benefited from an extra frame, but I might just be concentrating too hard on it since it seems to be a big focus of it. In regular cartoons I wouldn't pay lyp synch much thought. The animation of him stepping in seems a little unnatural, but everything else is really believable, and there were a lot of different mouth positions or whatever. :3 An' I liked your teeth and hairy belleh. D:
I feel weird being critical though. I don't even know the first thing about animating. Also it sucked watching this three times to make sure what I was saying was accurate, since your character is absent for the first part of this song, taking a dump I'm assuming. Good work overall. :3

As long as Grant can get a kick out of performing in the bathroom mirror, he's a good guy in my book! The animation is great, and it's good to see him in the spotlight again. I can sure understand why that guy that caught him hasn't been heard from since. Grant has an image to maintain, after all, and letting it get around that he does something as...normal as mirror mugging just couldn't be allowed.
I'll begin to comment once I've stopped swaying to the typically mainstream, American, melancholic rock music...
...Of course, casting aside that cliché your progress with animation is indeed a wonderful thing to experience. I can't argue with the comments praising your talent because the lip synching is indeed top notch. Perhaps it is a rather personal preference of mine to see the colours/shading a bit darker and thus more realistic but, of course, this is Flash we are discussing here.
I liked it. Lovely indeed.

Wow, this is just wow. I was just loving the song choice, and then your avatar popped up and I was like "WHOA!" You never cease to amaze me with your works, I've been meaning to do something to this degree, well a character singing not the whole bathroom thing. But I just have to say, this is incredible work, as well as the rest of your works, and keep them coming!! ^_^
after the umpteenth time watching this. >_> Cap'n I love this that much....
After the umpteenth time watching this I realize now, like it suddenly clicks he's singing and looking at himself in the bathroom mirror. Looking at himself but it being the 4th wall.
Anyway I'm getting to my point which is HE WASHED HIS HANDS!!!! EGAD! This big burly I guess werewolf cares about cleanliness and not dirty public restroom hands! That's very rare to find in a guy. Fer me its a big deal anyway. All the time when I go to wash my hands in a restroom I'll see guys, who after getting done handling their junk, just walk right outta room.
Forget Grant's awesome lip syncing, or that he's just hotness. He's not dirty!!!

The only thing I find more funny than the fact that prolly Everyone has done this before is how amusing it was to have a character like Grant doing that. Grant is prolly my favorite character of yours in that hes not an animal as most peoples characters are, but a partly-shifted werewolf. Gotta admire that liking to stay human. Darned speciesist furries.. :P
But for seriously, it was all very great! Expertly done, if I may say. Very interesting to see ones art take on a more tangible life. Prolly why i love cartoons so much..
You have my watch, sir.

I quite agree on that part in what you say about the miss use of Youtube. But like any other type of tool of the media. One has to use it in the correct way without abusing it.
This is your creation. It is one of the best I have seen on Fur Affinity. Just wondering how a larger diverse audience would react to your creativity. Maybe deviant art would be a good place to give it a shot. But it is still your decision to make on that.
Would like to see how you would do a music video....

I'd be less concerned about the hot dude in the mirror singing , and more concerned about what frigging establishment has that sort of music playing in their bathroom. You know, unless it's some sort of strange business that encourages suicide to get over your problems. But then the bathroom would probably have a straight razor dispenser.
You know, that's just like some of the psycho's in this country. They make a freaking suicide bathroom, and you STILL have to pay 50 cents before you can kill yourself. See that's where they get you. Though I think it'd suck even more if you only had a dollar on you and the machine only took exact change.
Why the HELL am I going on this sort of tangent? Fucks sakes.

From a technical standpoint: Freaking amazing! The song was a great find in of itself, the motion ad lip-synch are top notch. Expressions and small details are well noted and relayed to the viewer.
A+ work.
From a squealing fanboi standpoint: Quite the impressive video, nice singing and one would have to wonder why you'd kill anyone walking in on you when you're singing taking a piss?

Holy crap there's so many comments it took forever to scroll down lol. Nice animation and great music choice for Grant. The expressions were what I liked most...and I'll agree with the 76968427 others that the lip syncing was really good too.
Things like this let me value my time on FA, knowing it's not all porn.

Beautiful! I was getting so much into the song that I totally spaced that an animation was going to start. Really effective. I think I need to get a faster system ( or have less stuff going on, with us Linux/UNIX users, its not uncommon to have 8 desktops full of running apps). The animation kept pausing, but I got the idea. Your choreography of Grants facial expressions sure pulls this whole thing together. I believe that I am going to remember this work for a long time. And thanks for introducing me to Thee Days Grace.
The little wait was worth it. I was half expecting Linda Blair to pop out of the urinal, but that’s the mindset which gets inflicted upon people who’ve been caught out by numerous screamers. x] I know you wouldn’t do anything like that, though. The expressiveness of the mouth, how many moving parts there are, and how they move in synch with the song (especially the mouth) is remarkable. Very fluid and realistic animation, this took a lot of patience.
I rather like this animation and think you did quite a good job on it. Not to mention I've been a bit of a fan of this character since I'd first seen him. He's adorable in that smoldering sort of way! Like so many of the other people that got here before me, I think you did great on the lip syncing.
Lip synch is tricky business! Really nicely done, dude -- you managed to get a lot of emotion out of relatively subtle facial contortion, which totally helps keep mood and character intact while still being goofy fun <3 You make me want to do animation work again (which I think I've sworn off ever, ever doing again about...7 times now 9_9)
Anyway, fun work! Yay.

Never commented on this, but a late comment is better then none~
Overall the lip synching is amazing, and I can't believe you went through all that for this,
It's truly amazing, and you deserve some kind of prize for this XD
Great job, can't wait to see what you come up with next~!<3

When I first watched the entire video, I was kind of confused to be honest -- singing in a public restroom, the long wait (which I do get your point on), etc.
But after watching it a second time, it all just kind of made 'sense' to me. And even though the lip-syncing was spot on, the eyes are what had me hooked the entire time. They truly do feel like they are staring back at you!

The song suits the mood extremely well and you pulled it off so wonderfully. Truly... truly impressed. Please excuse me for being so bold as to link you to one of my Song inspired art (Someday, I'll get the hang of Flash....)
Not my favorite Three Days Grace song but this was still awesome. you should do this for more three Days Grace songs. I actually thought Adam's voice went surprisingly well with grant's face. Maybe I'll see him at a concert sometime. If anyone is wondering about my user-name, my account was really spontaneous so just used threedaysgrace, which i kind of regret because it feels like I'm plagiarizing one of my favorite bands. T.T
When I saw impatient in the description I instantly thought, "I'm going to have to wait for something to happen, but it will be cool."
Then Grant came in and started singing and then I thought, "This is the best thing ever."
I'm happy for the guy that caught him doing this, it'd be an awesome way to go.
