My favorite selfie! Took this back in Funderland, in a lush meadow with a small grove in the center, with my favorite jacket and perfect weather!

As the title says~ I originally made this as a pic to use for a custom phone case, which I indeed got around to having ordered finally. But I actually finished it under the pressure of last semester's art class final project, which was a non-traditional self portrait. Yes, last semester, I really got right on uploading it, didn't I? 8P She didn't want a simple drawing of oneself, she wanted something representative somehow. This fit her description perfectly, and got a good grade! The class loved it too, it was very encouraging. ^w^ In fact, it was the first thing in a very long time that my mom saw of my artwork, first thing since I was 17 I think. It was the first time she;s ever expressed any awe over a drawing of mine. ;3; She's super kind and supportive, but it's obvious when she's not impressed by her tone. <X3 This one made her jaw drop though, so epic yay, I've impressed a very prolific judge of my work. CX So I had it made into a phone case too. (Cuz it's a selfie! 8D) Thus, my grandma saw it. Now she has an 8x12 of it framed in her kitchen next to my late grandpa. ^w^ I love my family, I really do.

I put more effort and detail into this than any other pic I've ever done, I needed it to be as perfect as I could get it, and I'm thrilled with the results. Not perfect, I'd be at the end of my journey as an artist if it were, but something that I can wear on my phone with pride. I used a photo of myself in that very jacket as reference, but no tracing was done. I think I'll upload the pencil version later too. Hope ya'll enjoy, I had a grand ol' time making it.
