The lands south of the mountains that Zareth and his pack control are much less hostile than the northern lands they are from. They don't tolerate intruders, but if one is lucky Zareth might offer them a chance to join their ranks. There is, of course, no saying no to Zareth. The alternative is having his pack tear them apart. LOL.
