"Pyromancy is the art of invoking and manipulating fire. But remember one thing. Always fear the flame, lest you be devoured by it, and lose yourself. I would hate to see that happen again…"
Such words were spoken by Quelaana of Izalith, the Daughter of Chaos who would share the secrets of Pyromancy with the world of man. No words were more truer. When her mother, the Witch of Izalith, attempted to create a new flame use her Life Soul by invoking pyromancy, it backfired and created the Flame of Chaos. It's very power twisted her existence and left her and her children forever cursed, transformed into demons.
Yet, in spite of her warnings, history continuously repeats itself. Eingyi, once a talented pyromancer, unleashed poison into the Great Swamp, turning it forever toxic and was rendered a shambling egg carrier in the service of the Fair Lady. Centuries later, the ruins of Izalith are discovered by the feline enthusiast know as the Ivory King and the Temple of Eleum Loyce is built to contain the threat of the Flame of Chaos. Even then, he and many of his subjects succumbed to its power and were forever charred by the flames--transformed into twisted shadows of themselves.
And now here, in the ruins beyond the Shrine of Winter, we see Chaos at work once again. Scorcia of Forrosa, a skilled Pyromancer, had managed to uncover a long lost dress of the Lion Clan, made specifically for a magic user. Upon wearing it, she finds her magic skill has increased ten fold. Little did she realize that the Lion Clan have a long history with the Flame of Chaos and its embers sleep deep within the fabric. Imagine her surprise, then, when drawing from Chaos rekindles the flames, working its magic as she is burned by the flames. Though the flames do not destroy, they reshape what has donned them into something more fitting. When it is finished, she will become something more than what she had been before.
You all should thank me for the effort I put behind this piece. You have no idea the work I had to go through to even make this possible. The most I could do to dignify this artpiece is to put more effort into constructing these lion people than the story writers or even the internet had done.
I spent a week trying to find the plot and design pieces behind the Lion Clan--these greenish, tailless lion people--and you know what I found? Nothing! Fucking nothing! The lore within the game tells me only that they surfaced only centuries ago and that they have a burning hatred for humanity. There's even less on the internet about it. There are no in-depth entries, no conceptual art, no 3D Models, no screenshots, nothing! These are the most obscure fucking cat people I've ever come across.
I just wanted to find some pictures and backstory so that I could come up with a new submission or at least find some way to explain who the hell these things were, but no! I had to pick the cat race/game that time forgot! I just can't believe that the Internet Furry Culture, in all its futility and splendor, well known for its emasculation of all animals and yet tireless patience in cataloguing media containing anthropomorphic characters in alphabetical order, turned its back on Dark Souls II and the Lion Clan!
So you know what I did? I took my own screenshots! I mean, first I had to do research to find an item that could at least bypass the shitty camera controls in the game and then had to find ways to aggro the lion people into coming close enough for decent shots...and even then, I still had to kill them just so I could take pictures of their corpses and get a better idea of how to draw them. No sooner did I come up with these pics, however, did youtuber VaatiVidya put up a video that actually hinted at the first sound insight at what the Lion Clan people were. The video is here:

And having said that now, I think I can finally come to the conclusion that the Lion Clan were once the Lion Knights of Forossa before getting burned by the Flame of Chaos. As it's been established, the Flame of Chaos has a will of its own and clearly it has a sense of humour. It gave the Ivory King and its Loyce Knights superpowers and turned the ones who made it into spider demons, a giant tree, and even a balrog who suffers from Lava Pustules. So why wouldn't the Flame of Chaos do that to the Lion Knights? Not to mention the Lion Clan sit around the Shrine of Winter which is where Eleum Loyce lies.
So...for this picture, I give you a rare example of TF by Fire! Enjoy everyone! Comments and Critique appreciated and Keep it Furry!
PS: I've only got a couple more ideas for TFs related to Dark Souls. It's getting to the point where I'm running out of ideas.
