I guess we have a difference on what could be considered 'messy', heh. Colour, lighting and sound anatomy, all of which this pic has, are things I'm really struggling to improve upon at the moment. In a way I think I know too many artists whose 'sketches' are outright better put together than pieces that have given me a real headache to get finished, heh.
Basically, it's really damn good, as is your art in general. I just can't help being a bit envious, heh. And thanks for the reply, means a lot to a little guy like myself :)

Thanks. It's sometimes very easy to lose sight of where you're trying to go sometimes, especially when it feels like all the time for drawing and trying to improve seems to be going on just scraping by day-to-day.
Anyway, sorry for semi-venting, and thanks for the advice and encouragement :)

Funnily enough, I think it fits well with the talk of repetition and practice in that post that, sometimes, you need to hear the same thing however many times till it sinks in. Like, I know that practice and patience will, almost inevitably, lead to improvements, but sometimes my own brain doesn't believe it until others have said it a few times. Guess we're our own worst enemy sometimes, heh.
Thanks :)
Thanks :)
