Hail the giant ball of the sun!
You may have noticed this is quite different from the usual junk I produce. Well that's because this was actually made by
blackfox85 following a commission that I had originally organised with a friend, that eventually worked itself into a trade. The friend agreed to pay for a commission for him of what I wanted (which is of the lovely Celestia enjoying a little puffiness) and here we are right now. :)
Major props to Blackfox for this. ^^
Enjoy! =D

Only problem is that there isn't anything to develop with her. SHe's not like Luna who can be viewed as a character who's out of touch with the times, can be seen as shy/anti-social, or hell can't put the past behind her still. Celestia on the other hand is clear as day (no punt intended), she's the wise leader who went trough many battles in her life, and possibly faced many hard choices she had to make.
True, and I do understand how it is that Luna can be so popular since she is a pony with distinguished flaws making her more three dimensional. However, I just get sick of seeing Celestia's role throughout the series being used mostly as either;
a. Someone who provides exposition but does nothing else useful beyond that,
b. Someone who is often the cause of the problem in the first place, or
c. Someone who only makes the situation worse as a result of her bad decision making because we have to focus purely on Twilight.
I get that she is a mentor and meant to rely on her student and I understand that she is a secondary member of the FIM universe, however just using her as a means to signify a situation or just having her written out for the sake of the storyline does nothing for her to be made any more likeable or further developed. Its a shame because there is potential for story telling to be had with her, but no one wants to try and explore those new boundaries.

I'd say the only way you can make Celestia interesting, is mostly making an episode telling about her "younger" days, when she had to face difficult choices or face harsh times/battles. 'Cause in current times, I'd say there isn't much of a story you can tell with her, infact I'd say telling stories of her "younger" days would explain how she arrived to this point of where she is now.
