This is super cool, I always wondered how to do that effect.

Pretty simple, take an image from Google and paste it under the lineart. That is what it seems to have been done here. x3 This one is nice cause you can visibly see the lines GAH! Honestly when ever I tried doing this, it doesn't seem to come out right. xD

That is my problem as well, I have tried doing it but every time, it never wants to come out right and just to make it fit I am having to erase like a crazy.

Have you tried drawing the lineart in white or a light color on an otherwise empty layer, maybe against a dark backdrop?

Alternatively, you can probably invert black outlines, then set the layer to inverse multiply (wich is probably not called that way).

At least the first option should work, if you are using Photoshop or any other software that allows for similar layer management...

I use Gimp, but it is just not working usually. I'll see what I can do, thanks for the advice.
