...is on my dog, Beau. Draconis,
calamitycougar took this photo for my spouse. She isn't big on pictures, so I took her out of the image and substituted the color stuff. Beau is about three years old now, and a show/obedience dog. He loves his Mom, Mrs. Keefur. His fur is soooo long and thick. His breed, Keeshond, is the namesake of my fursona name. Anyone who has ever owned a Keesie, knows that their reputation as the "happiest breed of dog" is well earned.

Keeshonden don't often win shows for some reason. I have a tee shirt that I would absolutely never ever wear to a dog show. It says, "second place is the first loser". At a dog show... there is only one overall winner. I would piss hundreds of people off at the same time. To answer your question, no, he has never one a conformation show. A conformation show is to show the breeding quality of your dog. Your dog is compared to the "ideal" example of your breed. According to the show judge's opinion, if your dog is closer to the breed ideal than all the other dogs that show, you win. It's actually a very stilted and subjective process with a lot of politics involved.
