Finally, with the last elements coming together, the latest Mhar Fantasy RPG book is coming out sometime at the end of the month. I've been working on a lot of art for this book along with Max Blackrabbit, Henbe, and most recently gNAW and Alex Spastic. One of the things I've been trying my hand at is developing design art using Photoshop and I'm rather proud of the emblem for the book cover. The basic diamond and estolle star design is from the Mhar Setting but the overall style of the piece is inspired by the work another Canadian artist, Charles-Emmanuel "Bonhomme" Ouellette (aka Dr. Bo) did for another fantasy game (an online MMP by a Montreal company, ask Henbe if you want more about that).

The book originally started out to be a 32 page supplement to the RPG but story has it that the publishers pushed for Greg to pad it a bit more. The end result has been a 6 month delay and the book filling out to a whopping 130 or so pages (I haven't heard what the final page count is yet). The material inside looks good and the art is going give some of the pros a run for their money I think.

And to think we'll be doing this all again soon with another major source book, this time The Knights of the Golden Eagle . The fun never ends.
