Wilson literally handed them the Lombardi Trophy. Of all the plays to execute in that scenario, they did THAT one. A totally anti-climactic end to a somewhat enjoyable Superbowl.

Wilson's kind of a loose cannon, you know. he likes to call his own shit at times. Running QBs tend to be that way.
But whoever called it, for all the options available to the 'Hawks, where they were...and they did *that*. Yes, Malcolm Butler's interception was deliciously perfect. I love watching the replays. He read the play like a book, and did exactly what he was supposed to. He won the game for the Pats. The End.
But that play should NOT have been called, whomever did it. Just incomprehensible.

EV-ER-REY-body is saying this. They've been saying it since the play was executed, Sunday evening.
Is the NFL *REALLY* rigged? I know Superbowl XL was, when the refs blatantly called the game to hand the Lombardi Trophy to Pittsburgh, at Seattle's expense. Did this happen again? Did Seattle take a fall this time?

Sincerely doubt Wilson had anything to do with that. I think he's a surprisingly mature young man, and not someone who as a third year quarterback would be thinking of abandoning a play call on his own whim in favour of a risky pass.
Ball shouldn't have been in the air. It should've been in Marshawn Lynch's hands for at least one more down. That's pretty much it.
