A tauric form can be very handy in a variety of situations. For one, it allows me to support quite a bit of weight in water, proteins, and other materials I might be carrying. And since it's a quadruped form, it's excellent for very rough terrain and as a bonus, the upright humanoid portion allows me to get a good view of the surrounding area, without having to turn my entire body (and shifting forms constantly is a waste of time and energy I'd rather avoid if there's an easier way to go about things). It's a great compromise between strength, size, and flexibility I quite like, especially in more mountainous or isolated areas.
Noctua is a character that I've had that for a very, very long time has been cursed. Whenever I'd commission an artist to draw her things would start happening to delay the commission. For example, this commission killed Royalty's laptop! No, I'm not joking, it seriously did.
But I finally got commission of this lovely ooze-like gryphon-ish creature done and this one came out really well! I especially love how glowy she is and how soft and smooth she is... I just want to run my hand down her side! :D

She can't really take on a really gooey form (or at least as far as what you're thinking) without becoming unstable and pretty much unable to move or do much of anything due to too much water. The softest she can go is like a wet water balloon. Very soft, but not really drippy or gooey.
