Hi there!
The wings have a snap-able sleeve which conceals the arms/hands. The hands can come out of the snap-able sleeve to open doors, press elevator buttons, etc. (Actually, I'm pretty adept at pushing down on door handles and pressing elevator buttons while using portions of my wings -- where the hands meet the fabric.)
The snap-able sleeve is very useful, as I can push my hands out of the costume and be able to manipulate things (like fetching a hotel key card, or pulling off the head in the fursuit lounge to cool off).
