I never thought I'd actually reach this far to be honest. I started many comics before - Oceandweller, Gatekeeper (not posted), Dorokane: Mistreated, Misunderstood, and Misplaced, Horizon to Horizon, and Chazzy's Adventures in Istaria. None of them got past the 4th page maximum. To be sitting here, writing the 50th page's description of Breakthrough, it's a little humbling and quite an accomplishment.

I thought many times of cancelling this along the way. I had points where I was sick of drawing it and didn't care for the story anymore. But now... I'm really glad I continued it. It not only helped sharpen my art skills a lot, but it helped me gain a heck of a following (I went from 30 watchers on here to nearly 200 and this is basically the only thing I post). I'm not famous by any means of course but it's a lot for me. I barely had comments on things before and now I get something like 5-10 (on dA) on each page of Breakthrough. It really felt awesome to see people's reactions to the story unraveling, even if Chapter 1 isn't hugely action packed. I continued mostly for my followers and for the happiness I got from seeing all of your reactions. :) Of course I like the story myself. I'm not making this only because I feel I have to. Just sometimes it's a bit tough.

I started Breakthrough on January 18th, 2014. It's been over a year now! :D But now... I need a break. Mostly to plan and figure out the details of CH2's storyline, but also to draw concept art and just get away from comic art for a bit so I don't get entirely burnt out.
