295 – Double Despair

Now, thematically, I believe this is the bit that is commonly referred to as the long dark night of the soul bit of the narrative. I think? Maybe I should have read that book about kicking cats that tells you all about how to structure a narrative properly, but if I did things properly then I wouldn’t have had to hide my entire Facebook feed to avoid posts by all my former college classmates who are now doctors and lawyers and other professions where their parents can talk to other parents without lying. See what I did there? I segued from talking about the long dark night of the soul in the context of the storyline into talking about my own real life long dark night of the soul. OW THAT HIT ME RIGHT IN MY DELICATE ARTISTIC TEMPERMENT!

Okay now let’s talk about something important by which I mean me. Most of you probably already know Between Failures, it’s one of those rare good webcomics, so I should mention it. It’s pretty good, but more importantly my good buddy Jackie recently introduced a character who hates everything, is ugly on the inside, and writes a terrible furry webcomic. Obviously, he’s an homage to ME! I like things that pay homage to me, so I thought I’d point that out.
