Heheh. Yeah its really interesting to see such a ...formal and intimidating stance taken for gaurds. Even though its not very effective Ive always tryed to ponder ways of makeing 'knights in space' work. The armour looks amazing and the color only adds to that blazing stand out that only a royal gaurd would wear. I love your conceptual designs of your world.

you don't see many kite shields in sci-fi... aside from 40k, I can't think of a shield in a sci-fi game or book that wasn't round, made of energy, or rectangular.

This is a very interesting alteration on the standard power armor suit. From the looks of it the suit seems to be a heavily modified version of the standard guard power armor. Since its also palace guard it looks like most if not all of the modifications are ascetic. Or am I just reading way to much into this. ^^;
