for future reference Yuums have black with silver tipped feathers but this one is a crossbreed.
a species of alien within my novels, their home planet was obliterated during the war and are on the verge of extinction (no more than a 1000 Yins, 750 Yuums and 100 N-Series hybrids created from genes).

interesting note: they have both an endo and exoskeleton, also they use air currents to regulate their temp and regain "life force".
