Just polishing off the last of my past Patreon-perk pieces for
moongara - some photo-ref practice with a big kitty :3
I have ceased offering art subscriptions for the moment so I can catch up on my commissionwork and the digital pieces I already have in progress. Progress has of course been slowed due to my hand injury (still hurts but isnt getting any worse) but I'm doing my best to keep up anyhow.
I have converted my perks to commission discounts - basically if you contribute $10 or more to my Patreon, you will earn a commission discount up to 50% off a commission - which is pretty baller imo :0
I will also be scanning a new piece of old artwork to my
huskie-archives account for every $5 patron I get! Starting today :P
My updated commission pricelist can be found at http://huskie666.livejournal.com for reference as well :3
Anyhoo, this is aquarelle pencil on 7 x 7 inch illustration paper.

Produces a more linear effect...
It used to be one of me go-to [http://www.furaffinity.net/view/124.....chniques[/url], especially for quick textures of tone. Produces a grainer, more linear effect. I'm actually super interested in what it would look like, so I'll tell you - this is easiest on card stock, with charcoal pencils (easier to control small areas of tone than charcoal proper) and stiff brushes. Otherwise, pretty much as you've already been doing. <3 If you ever want to experiment! I should do more of these when I get home.
The eyes especially are great - the most scrutinized part, too!
