That would be a cowardly move on Nintendo's behalf. Just because there hasn't been another SF game since Command does that make it nessesary to reboot the series! I also heard Krystal wasn't a very popular character in Japan but does her lack of popularity have to be based on the reception of a non-cannon game like Command! The biggest problem with the reboot is that they already established a cast and a universe that they've stuck with for over four games compared to the SNES era of Starfox.
I loved Starfox since the 64 game and I hope that before they reboot the series they would end the current timeline with a proper console game featuring Krystal. Obviously not enough information is out yet but I hope a reboot is not in Miyamotos plans for this new game.
