The tag in the corner tells how old this one is: it's almost a decade old by the looks of it!
This was one of the first attempts I made to add some weight to a non-weighty character. The idea is that Nala has gotten so fat, that when playing a game of 'pinned ya,' it's not so easy for Simba to get up anymore.
I know it almost looks like she's eaten him, but he's being weighted down by her over-burdened body.
The jowls and chin were early attempts to get the added layers of fat, and for good measure, I also drooped down her ears.
