I like the bulky design. There are only a handful of Gundams that have a big design frame. Makes me think this a heavy artillery type.

I certainly looks like a long range type but since  Silkpaws is the one who designed it I can't say for sure what its combat role is, looks damn cool though.

Hehe, I prefer my Gundams like Wing Zero. They heavy Models, Gundam Double X is amazing. You won't be sayin' shit when you have a satellite cannon pointed at you X3

*chuckles and bows* actually it is a cross unit. for the most part in its full armored form much like shown here. just with some pieces not on it. the vegence is a medium range heavy weapons platform much like the Heavy arms gundam from gundam wing. reinforced armor, and lots of firepower give it quite the intimiation level when it levels on you.
as such the mecha is a medium range engager in this layout tha zyote did. with the only long range weapons are the 2 over the shoulder rail guns.
the unit when things get to close can forcefully eject the excess armor and weapons of full armor when doing so it becomes extremely fast and agile so it can flee quickly if it needs too.

as stated before the Vengence has 3 forms to it. this is the more commonly used one :)

The GX Divider was a great suit design from the AW Universe, but Double X will have my heart from there. It's general battle capabilities were greater than Divider. And I love the Microwave system it has to allow multiple satalite shots =3

That reminds me of that Virtue Gundam from Gundam 00. Except it has shorter cannons similar to DoubleX Gundam. And the head reminds me alittle of Zeta. Nice design, but, and call me insane and crazy, but I came up with the idea of Freedom Gundam. Simply a gundam with the body similar to Deathsythe, F91 cannons, double X cannons, buster rifle, and a mega sonic cannon like Virsago. They made that into both Freedom and Strike freedom.

*chuckles* i came out with the design for this machine years and years ago. i think back in 04, 05 and a friend was nice enouh to actually draw a picture of it in 06 i believe it was. the original concept which is in my gallery. a year or so late i findo ut about gundamm 00 and of Virtue and i started to laugh as Virtue did make me think of my gundam. complete wth the shedding of excess armor bit.

Same with me, I came up with the idea I said in around '97. But I'm proud that Bandai found my scrap paper and devised the gundams in seed and seed destiny.

I've seen the origional in silkpaws gallery and you've done a really nice pic of it.
I love the shading, probbably more so because i can't shade mecha :P
