This is a bit of a weird submission. . . I wasn't quite sure what to post it under.
I have a habit of collecting old or bargain-priced frames that look weird and interesting. This one definitely qualified. It's itty bitty, so I decided I'd draw something to put in it tonight, since I'm stuck awake with tooth pain, anyway.
It was odd trying to come up with something circular to draw that fit into a three inch-wide portal, but a curled up fox immediately came to mind. And he's silver to match the frame, obviously :)
In the end I don't know how I feel about the gold. It gives it some pop but I almost wonder if he would've been better off left monochrome. But he's done, so. . . eh.
I actually have another of these frames on standby if I ever feel like doing another curled up fox. But for now, this guy happened, and he'll probably be for sale at my Storenvy at some point.

I like the gold, I think the reason it might look a little off is your background behind the frame itself is dark! Once it's hanging on a lighter colored wall it will be fine, especially in shades of blue or red! ^^
On another note, try some hot mint tea for your tooth the mint has some numbing qualities that can help the pain and stay away from cold drinks!

Oh god, such a wonderful harmony between frame and image! Well made!
If only he had Puck's markings, you could use this frame as the base image of a reissue cover of one of the books... or the box around the box set.
(Nah, but I'm constantly disappointed at the graphic design of most furry publications - usually it looks more about savoring the cover painting than communicating novel tone, author, sometimes I can't even read the title until I'm holding the book - when sometimes a style parody or a simple abstract image or a portrait or a piece of typography could communicate the novel much more effectively. I mean, if the audience doesn't recognize the artist, you lost a newcomer to the fandom - and the books are super awkward to have on the coffee table or on the subway, no? I mean, we don't have to model everything on romance novels...)
