I don't hide my talents, Kat - I just don't release stuff that isn't my best! I used to read in artists' comments all the time about how what they were uploading "sucked".. I'm saying to myself "Don't upload it, then!" I've started working on my music again, and now it's good enough to post. ^_^ And my setup really isn't all that much - it's really very basic. What's important is working with one's ideas, getting them into audible form. :)
Oh, and as far as music is concerned, you should sing the praises of pants, as they say on MST3K. >=)

Pants are over-rated.
And it's easy to be down on your own musical work. I know that all too well. After awhile you become so intimately involved with every single note of a piece that tiny little errors nobody will ever notice, seem like massive mistakes that screw everything up.
I have one song that I've been mixing and remixing over and over for a year or so, because I've never been able to get it quite perfect. I think I'm beginning to get used to the idea that perfect isn't going to happen, though.

Well, I do tend to want to refine certain individual songs until I'm at least satisfied that it's the best I can do. But there are other, less critical tunes that I can be comfortable with simply because I thought of them. They don't have to meet the rigid standards that my important works do.
Great job on the picture, Gene! I hear what you're saying about music. It's easy to succumb to the feeling that it's not good enough, but past a certain point, I have to say, "That's as far as I can go!" and share what I have with others.
