Lupis and Lobos rose into the sky, carried by wings of light and fire. Meteors of hellish power rained down around them, just as they had fallen across the face of the world one year before.

Lupis spread his glowing light-blue wings, the shape of a subtle moth's. Lobos spread his own blazing orange wings, like a proud butterfly.

"You WILL submit to my power before the end of the night!" Lobos howled triumphantly. "Our mother Luna the Moon will set, and our father Solari the Sun will rise, and on that morn your body will belong to me, and I will live once again!"

Lupis glared at his ancestor. "You had your chance at life!" he roared. "You had your chance and you wasted it! You turned your back on Father and Mother's instructions, plunged the world into war-"

"Father and Mother denied me my right!" Lobos bellowed, and the meteors that fell brightened with his voice. "We are gods, cursed with death! Even with all our power we would one day die like mortals! The Sun and the Moon denied us our immortality!"

"So you would take my body?" Lupis scoffed. "You would wear my flesh like it was your own, dead man, and then war against Heaven?"

"Yes!" Lobos's wings flared brightly, silhouetting his body with their light, and his eyes glowed with infernal will. "I will take from Luna and Solari what they said I could not have! What should be mine! I will have my immortality!"

Lupis's heart burned with fury at the blindness of his forefather. "They never denied you your immortality! They never answered 'no' to you! They told you 'not yet!'"

"LIES!" Lobos screamed, and he flew toward Lupis, light and fire and Hell enveloping him.
