Let's hop in a time machine and go back to a time when the internet was young(er) and making web comics was all the rage. We have arrived in the year 2005. Trick and I are in college, not yet dating, and way into World of Warcraft (and Oblivion, and many other video games). We're also furries. I got the notion that I was actually funny and would have no problem story-boarding and writing for a comic, and Trick got the notion that it would be no problem to crank out the art for a comic a week. We sat down and wrote the first few comics, and I coded up a website, thus Gone 2 Teh Dogs was born ("Teh" because some jackass was squatting the domain gone2THEdogs.com). G2TD for short.

Fast forward several years. The webhost that was hosting G2TD was shutdown after being generally crappy against defending against hackers, taking with it our files. I thought I had diligently backed up everything related to the comic but eventually discovered that I failed miserably in my endeavor. I had rescued the site code, but failed to save off the actual comics! I was heartbroken that they were lost to the ages (even the wayback machine hadn't saved them). Not that they were particularly good, just that they were a chapter in our lives together.

But! Through the power of hoarding, I have discovered the ancient hard drives upon which the original comics were stored, and ripped them back through time into the present. I figured instead of sitting on them forever I might as well put them somewhere where perhaps other people will enjoy them. So it begins! Issue 1! g2td.net has said 'Returning Soon!' for the last 8 years, I think it's about time.

Commentary:
Chip (the grey wolf) and Ryoko (the fox) are early versions of our fursonas (uh, Chip...and Trick). They also loosely resemble our personalities and are often based on real life circumstances. In this comic they are "roommates," for whatever reason. Issue 1 is mostly about my propensity for playing with things that click (like those nifty pop up erasers). I promise I won't ramble on so long about the next comics :3
