Waah, my first upload! I guess I should start with me!
I've been asked if my Second Life avatar is my online persona/fursona or is supposed to represent my "First Life" self or whatever. The short answer is no, not really! If I wanted to represent myself online, I'd just... use a picture of myself, I guess! Why hide my luscious locks? X]
I do LOVE creating characters, however! I write many story, comic, and tabletop adventure ideas like, all the time, and that requires many NPCs! Many people to populate these worlds I think of!
So, my avatars on Second Life aren't really personas of myself so much as they're simply recreations of important characters that have appeared in silly stories that I've written! If I HAD to choose one to represent me, however... It would choose this lovable oaf pictured above. His name is Xyzzy, and he is an Enderbeast, a fictional race created by Second Life merchant Murder of Ravens, or Zexen Alecto.
There's a lot of detail to his silly backstory, but here's the important bits!
Xyzzy is an eyeless armless genderless reptilian creature called an Enderbeast! Enderbeasts are vicious psychic animals! So many describing words! They populate a dimension right outside our own, where they seek out unsuspecting prey, suck out their life force, and then proceed to swallow their lifeless corpses whole! Eek, scary!
This guy, however, is a special snowflake! A mad scientist named Dr. Nguyen took an interest to these extra-dimensional creatures, and decided that she would capture one in order to preform sicknasty experiments on! She was able to successfully capture, restrain, and do with Xyzzy what she wanted.
After a long while, Xyzzy had been trained to exist normally in our world. He wears a pair of arms created by the mad doctor that not only, well, give him arms, but act as an inhibitor that suppresses his hunger! He has to take his medicine or he'll start eating people again, and that would make him sad, because he likes people now!
Dr. Nguyen is the type to fall in love with her latest experiments, so soon after she was done with Xyzzy, she moved on to something else, so Xyzzy now wanders in and out of the lab to satiate his curiosity! Huzzah, adventure! :3
