This is something I wrote on the fly when I went downstairs to shave. :P
I played it for my dad and he asked if I was in love. xD I just sorta giggled.
(Phrygian mode is the ultimate mode of love, imo.)
Recorded via my NEW keyboard!! :D

Yamaha P140. I recommend it HIGHLY. It feels so nice to play. It's not like crappy keyboards that feel totally different from playing piano. And the sound is real nice. =) (Though, this sound comes from my computer -- I just fed the keyboard in through midi input.) It's not one of those *absurdly* expensive keyboards, but it still is a REALLY lovely piece of equipment.

Gah, I wish I had some spare money to buy a keyboard with. I've looked at the Yamaha DGX630 which is probably the closest thing to a real piano for portable keyboards, but that's way out of my price range. I'm stuck with an extremely old Roland digital piano to play on and I swear that it must have come out shortly after electronic keyboards were invented.
Actually, I'm thinking about buying a Casio Privia keyboard to use for practise while I'm in university. I want to get something that still feels and sounds as much like a real piano as possible.
Oh, and since the time that I've made that post, I bought a real apartment sized piano to use for practise at home, but there's no way I'm taking that with me to university.

Very nice! I love modal tonalities. Locking into one, kinda sets a static mood. In this case, a tender moment, or a longing for one. It gives me more of a longing, maybe it's just my current mood... like you're watching your love leave for a temporary departure, or waiting for him/her to return, longing for the embrace. Sad at the separation, but content in your knowledge of your love for each other.
And PS, i understand your passion, but i think you may have been a little hard on zackregit. If the song spoke to him in a way that connected to his spirit, that's the compliment to your artistry, and even though it's a portrayal of your personal emotion (expressed very well) it's not for you to say what to feel by it, as I said, even though it's yours. It's always a nice bonus when your audience connects to it the same way you do, cause of course that's a success of pure emotional communication thru music, but that's not the point, at least to me, the point is not to feel the same thing you do, but to feel SOMETHING from it. Inspire a story, mood, emotion, setting, anything. If there is to be something I'd ask of Zackregit, it's "if it didn't give you the love vibe, what vibe did you get?"
Soo, this is my longest post ever, and a nice job of overpsychoanalyzing, to boot! hee hee *goes to listen to your other stuff*

Thanks! :D I actually didn't stick 100% to the Phrygian mode (I had to go *BRIEFLY* into Aeolian for some parts because it would have sounded silly otherwise.) And I'm glad you gleaned so much from the piece! YAY! ^_^
And, haha. xD Don't worry, Zack and I are tight like tigers (in fact he IS a tiger). He knows I was just being silly. :) Thank you for being so kind and sticking up for my friend though! *hugs*!
