I'm glad to see you playing around with the model already ^^ Just thought I'd share as a bit of a side note, when you do close ups like this sometimes you will want to go to the particle settings for 'fur body' and set the amount of strands rendered from where it is (I think 135) to around 350-500. It's more render intensive, but you don't get that feeling that the fur is too thinly spread out, like on his shoulder. Just something I've found when working with my models.
