Visual Metaphor Assignment
This is a storyboard I imagined up for my Film History class. It's based upon the WTO riots that occured here in Seattle back in 1999, and it's about a 'protagonist' who leads a charge upon riot police guarding a Starbucks. The Visual Metaphor used in these 'shots' was pioneered by Sergei Eisenstein's film 'Battleship Potemkin', way back in 1925, which is in turn based upon the failed revolution in Russia back in 1905.
Of course, being a macro fan, I managed to draw this conclusion for the result, that the protagonist gets tasered and arrested, the riot stopped in its tracks. You'd think the Japanese army would have learned after the second or third movie...
