I just recently ran into Puma's art as well, Blue, and I can understand why you'd feel so inspired; his characters (and art style in general) definitely exude a vivacious aura!
But back to the art at hand; this here is a beauty! Wonderful depiction of an uncommon dog breed; I rather enjoy your confetti-like take on his fur. The pose can only be described as "dynamic," I'd say--with the character's wild motion being evenly distributed across his entire body, most notably in the limbs. Haha, I like the tripping posture of his feet, but I know he's got this! Finally, great use of a simple BG: blocked primary colors on a white page with heavy emphasis on his shadow; it complements the portrait's energy without taking over in the slightest. =D
