I thank you all for helping me find a suitable program for using with my tablet. Tis much apreciated. =^-^= (btw, I used GIMP to do this pic...and I am very satisfied with the controls and options that program lets u have)
I've been playing with this thing for hours...And this is the first drawing I am fairly satisfied with. I tried to keep it as basic as possible just to help me learn the basic line art and coloring. I used the calander on muh wall for a reference, so no I didn't just get this fresh from my mind...But I am happy with what this thing is capable of. *nods*

..and well, this isn't like the first thing I have drawn on tablet. (I had doodled a bunch on MSN messanger and a little on MS Paint yesterday when I got it) but this is the first actually piece of art that I thought redeemable to actually finish and save. So I did have a couple hours of practice. XP

This is very well done, especially for a first try and for freehand.
If you're just getting started with your tablet, you can also try tracing as opposed to freehand drawing. That will at least get you a sense of some of the pen movements and such.
Keep it up. I'm sure we'll see more great things from you soon.

...but I did have a small bit of practice prior to this one. this is just the first one I went through and decided to finished and save to file.... the rest were just doodles I did while playing on MS Paint or MSN messanger with friends.
...I will keep that in mind, but I think I am taking to the feel of it quite quickly. I'm not too fond of traceing anyways. :p
