For the past couple months I've been thinking if I should go with black bear as my main sona. He would represent more of my real life self being not very tall. Although I'm not exactly 5'10 either. haha. Because of my grizzly self everyone assumes I'm some big burly guy in real life, but I'm actually not. I'm pretty short and stocky. Not as fat as this bear here but I still have some muscle from when I was obsessed with working out a few years back. Now I'm trying to gain some fat to get to my ideal look. :)
This design still ain't solid. so I'll have to keep playing around with it. And just for fun I threw in Bruno to compare his ginormous self to a more normal sized fur. haha His anatomy is a bit wonky I think, but I did rush it.

I would pin down what you do so right about bears, and tell you what i think so i can tell you what you should go on with
but god danm i can't single a detail out. you do everything right, from the face to the overall build to the fluffiness to the feet. everything screams "I'M A WELL DRAWN BURRRR".

I heartily support this design *brushes my own black fur* No, I'm not biased! Well...maybe a little. But yes, I love the idea of sonas matching their owners. And my bearself wouldn't look right at all if he was even thinner than he is, so I understand yours and other people's sentiments about gaining weight and muscle, as I'd love to do that myself!

D'aww. Love the little blush on the black bear. I like both characters, but I don't think there's any problem with playing with the form you want to have or see yourself having in your mind's eye. That being said, ultimately the choice is up to you - but we'll love you no matter your decision, Rodney!

That's a handsome pair of bears, in creative relative sizes. I will ask, though, about Bruno's height: 10ft would be his normal size...but then, he's often big enough to be squashing city blocks or whole cities underfoot. I take it that 10 feet, while still considerable and a big huge bear to boot, is not always the size he's at. ^_^ A pair of very handsome fellows both you are, tho'! Take care of those feet, and don't be afraid to use 'em!
