This is a drawing that I made partially as a Valentine's Day project, even though it's five days early. This time, I opted to make something with a much simpler concept than some of my previous works: Just a genuine moment between Kovu, Kiara, and their two cubs named Kenta and Sala. I've drawn Kenta a few times before, but this is my very first time drawing Sala, the cub to the right. So consider this to be her official design here. I know it probably looks like Kenta is asleep here, but he's really not, he's just nuzzling Kiara is all.

Many of the shading and lighting effects here were very experimental for me to do, so I apologize if they don't completely match up to where they should be. (With where the sun is, anyway.) The river effect here is also the first time I've ever done a real water with my digital art, and thankfully it came out better than I anticipated. Hell, so did the lighting/shading effects too. I'm still not total satisfied with how the grass and the ground looks, but given the program I have to work with, this is about as good as it'll get for now. But overall, I'm very proud of how this turned out, and I think the various risks I took while making this very much paid off.

The title of this drawing is inspired by the Beatles song 'All You Need is Love', which I think does a good job describing the mood of this one. You'll find that the works of the Beatles tend to inspire my artwork a lot, but what can I say? I freaking love them.
