It's like Anubis' first day on the job ever and he's having waaay too much fun. I love the look on Horus' face! Who knows, maybe Anubis knew the guy was a crook. LOL
This scene was instantly recognizable to me. I like how it's not all doom and gloom because they are passing judgement on that poor spirit, instead it looks like a natural real-world setting. Ammut is so cute, and I'm glad to see Thoth represented in art, he doesn't nearly get drawn enough. He's my fave because he's an ibis. :)

No, that was a comment on his icon and comment, not the contents of the comment. Dark and angsty for the name and icon, and humorless for not getting the chibi Anubis damning a soul to hell (not letting it into the afterlife, for which an ancient Egyptian can imagine no greater punishment (Don't try to school me, son, I have friends who were there! :P)).
What is it with people having no sense of humor. :O

I thought the Duat was the afterlife, just not a fun place in general (even though it wasn't exactly "Hell" either) while Aaru, on the other hand, was the Egyptian version of 'heaven'?
Uh, but that's the Wiccan symbol? And he is Wiccan...
I guess it depends on what you find funny... I think the picture is pretty cute and funny.

That's one interpretation, yes. It is far from the only one. Symbols, by virtue of being co-opted into other cultures and organizations, take on many meanings, and from their presence often mean nothing in and of themselves. Context makes the difference, and without it, saying his icon is Wiccan comes only from knowledge that is not present merely by looking at the symbol alone. He could be a Goth, a Neophite, or a Satanist, all of whom have take the pentacle as symbols in their various mythologies. You should not be in a rush to judge, either. Just because you have some context doesn't mean everyone does. When the only context presented is Darkdeath21, it is easy to infer Goth or Satanist. Wiccan doesn't come to mind.
Food for thought.

Well, this is true, but I clicked on his icon, which took me to his user page, where he states he is a practicing Wiccan - which is, of course, part of what I mean by getting to know someone.
As to your other comment, this is why I like emoticons so much - they help to convey the more subtle aspects of human communication that get lost when all you see is text on a screen.

Its part of being a dragon. The differences between mortals and immortals make dragons inscrutable to mortal creatures. Their motives are unfathomable by those whose lifespans are simply not long enough to see the true big picture. Even when working on fine details, a dragon's motivations and attitudes will be difficult to decipher because of the differences in perceptions.
So I go with that. Emoticons would allow deeper insight into my comments, but that would permit you mayflies to enjoy a greater understanding of the big picture, and I wouldn't burden your brief existences with such glorious knowledge.
Anyway, there's some insight into me. Some people pretend, others are. No one who has spent any time with me doubts which I am. Take it as you will.
