RPG Maker XP And boy it was a challege to map this as using all three layers + Event Layer.

Same here right now i need to work on VX. So far i got a practice game. but the universal tileset helps as well as the iconsheet.

I hate that they got rid of a couple of Things 2003 had. I still think 2003 was the best engine. though that's only because the scripting has been so hard to learn.

Really well at least i do appreciate what 2000 and some 2003 features that were in VX but not in XP was the scrolling paroramas.

yeah you had to script those in. though I do like that VX allows for 3D model integration.

I did not know that. Right now there's not many scripts for VX except the japanese ones. Even those are hard to translate. Especially KGC scripts.

So what scripts did you make. So far all i've been doing during my game creation. was testing other users scripts.

A mode 7 script. A 3d intergrater script, a crystal shard battle system similar to the greatest RPG system of them all: the materia system, a thief script, animated bad guy script, animated background during battle script, and much more.

they are still works in progress. except the Crystal shard one. Took me a year to write that one and I haven't even started the game yet cause i need to make a shitload of sprites. I'm doing all this shit by myself.

You know i've been converting 2000 and 2003 sprites into XP format. Using a japanese program that was posted on the noew gond phylomortis site.

VX annoyed me, the spites looked retarded, the map feature got on my nerves due to the fact they decided to go back to the 2k style. XP was awesome, once you got the hang of it.

Well yes but also more difficult if you were going to make a longer game than 10 hours.
