Drew this with micron pens in a large MoleSkine Sketchbook, than scanned it in to color with photoshop. I was going for a watercolor type effect. I need to get brave enough to watercolor for reals!

This is very lovely - the linework is so delicate and detailed. :)
I'm curious. Most moleskin sketchbook drawings I see are done in this fashion, where the drawing carries over to the back of the page before it. Is the paper in the moleskin books heavier then usual? Would it be able to handle mix media and not bleed? Or is it best suited for pencil and pen and ink?
I've been eyeing the books at the art store, but have yet to pick one up.

I like the MoleSkine Sketchbooks for just this very reason, you can lay it flat and double your available drawing surface. As far as your question about the ability of the paper to handle various media, I really can’t say, I’ve only personal experience with pen and ink thus far, I was not brave enough to try water colors and risk ruining the book.
