Heeeey. Now this is a good reference picture. As it's a lion...yet unless you actually read the description or those user tags, (which people on FurAffinity really don't do..) then you really couldn't tell by appearance. But that's cool to be because it's not having a lion that falls into the uber buff normal mold. And that's a creative thing. To me at least.
I think that because this picture happens to be in black and white that it looks a lot better than it would if it were in color. Saying this because it looks you were using a bunch of screen tones to color things in. Like the background. (Well it looks like a screen tone to me...) Not that it's a bad thing. It's just..noticeable I guess. DIFFERENT. That's the word I'm looking for.
Putting that on the back burner for a little bit, I want to say that the clothes here happen to rock. Mainly the pants. Because they look like RPG adventure esque pants but don't look like Sora's from Kingdom Hearts! (As everyone's apparently been milking thee days...) They're like a combination of raver shorts and extended pants legs that look like they could be worn at dance clubs. And that is innovative. (I also happened to think it was like they're short...with pants legs sewn onto them. Which also works.)
Another thing I like here? The arm stripes. It's like he's always wearing a shirt. Even when he's not. (Or just has his own sleeves.) And I swear, if anyone says it's supposed to be a homunculus from FMA, then please, kick them. In the face. Twice.
My only wonder if the hair. No, it's cool mind you as it's not that gigantic mane of hair that most lions have. It's just that it looks like it's style with nothing less than a billion gigs of raw voltage. Which.....probably would make it the single most awesome hairstyle known to man now that I think about it.
Yup, I can all truth say that this one came out a winner in my book.
