Good Lord, I forgot to upload this again! I better do it now, before I forget again.
It's strange, but it's been two years, since my friend
speedstar last commissioned me to draw his Pikataur.... man, college wasn't kind to me, was it? Well, I'm basically done today, just awaiting the diploma from now. Whatever!
My buddy commissioned me some time ago, he's been very patient, and he wished his friend's fursona to also be on the image, and.. I heard both like it, and I'm glad.
Whatever, I certainly hope this won't land on some Tumblr page for being the most controversial image of all time.

Hmmm maybe... although the topic that I had on mind is just random. I actually had thought of talking with you about something else.....
See, lately me and my parents watch TV together, and most often, we watch some documentaries. They're about people living outside big cities, sometimes even in 3rd world countries, talk about their lives, and it's always about them being happy with things the way they are, seemingly giving the common message of "Gosh, we don't really need technology to be happy!"
I felt like discussing some of my problems with this. It's about how great traddition is, how status quo, isn't that bad at all...... Let's get into that. So many of these documentaries, show a child, and their parents talk about how this child will continue the family business. What if I was such a child?
My own father never insisted on me becoming a carpenter. But what if he did? I would not want that! I never would! Or... I saw one documentary about some people in India... or was it some Eastern Oriental country? Whatever! They brewed some alcohol, it was popular, and of all their children, only their daughter would want to continue their business. This won't be allowed, because SHE'S ONLY A WOMAN!
This is the flip-side of it. Even slightly bending the tradittion, in order to preserve it, is not acceptable.
I have a dream, I fight for it since years, and I feel disgusted by the idea, that someone could deny me that, because of where I was born, and who my parents are.

Ah, that problem where Destiny or Fate, Tradition or Family, from Father to Son, to do over and again for the millennia- that man likes to think everything must be the same of all time. Every person born this Earth will not and can never ever imitate his parents to the letter, because he is life born from his Father and Mother. He can inherit the habits and liken traits, but he is never an imitation. There's 3 general ways a child grows up: He grows up like his parents(which most of the time robs his indivuality, a very much continue the same Family problems I.E, Drunkeness, Rape, Spouse Abuse), He grows up Rebellious(which most of the time is in direct opposition to parents), and very rarely that he grows to become his own self- which the latter could still continue the trade of his father, but! he's still himself.
In terms of the lack of technology leading to happiness(less is more), that has to be meditated to understand why that is- think of how many needs and concerns in the modern life, and then compare how much those who live in country. Again though, what appeals to one person doesn't necessarily translate well for another.(Like how I'm a private person who doesn't like parties yet a social country person might like parties.)
