As some of you might know, in late 2013 I decided to put the Golf aside and get a different daily driver.
Since then I rocked an almost stock EDM 96 Legacy GX 2.2: https://www.flickr.com/photos/gshep/11298643253/
Since then I parted out the Golf as I bought an 96 Golf Syncro 3-door, so I finally could start my long wanted AWD 2.0 16V project.
I've already done the engine and brake swap, swapped all good body parts from my GTI on it and am now at the last bit, which is building an exhaust.
Aside of that I found a white JDM 98 Legacy GT-B Limited (even with a manual Gearbox!) that I wanted for a few years now (That model was the reason why I got into BD/BG Legacys), it was damn cheap and already had a german registration. Engine was broke though, so I'm currently fixing that. It's taking its time though as it took me ages to find the right parts (Most needed parts all NLA at Subaru Japan).
Which leads me to today... few weeks ago I came across a reasonably priced JDM 97 Legacy GT-B.
Automatic gearbox and a tow bar... and overall in a much better condition than my GX.
So I ended up with a new daily driver.
It needs some things fixed, driveshaft knuckles are bad, track needs to be adjustet, but except for that it only needs his bumpers painted and some dents in the trunk door and hood fixed.
...well and I do need to replace that Outback grill with the JDM Legacy grill.
It rides really nice and is a lot of fun to drive and it's not even more expensive than the GX. :)
Sure will make the waiting time more fun till my Golf and the other Legacy are done. :)
