The elder of Stella's two children after the death of her first husband. Because she had converted to the Cubi race before her husband's death, her subsequent children were also born as Cubi even though their fathers were members of her original race. Also because of their Cubi heritage, Ashveld and his younger sibling are carnivorous despite being of an herbivorous race, as that is the "quirk" of Clan Premi.

Ashveld himself is a serious - sometimes even called "joyless" - individual. Feeling awkward among the rest of his Clan, he instead chose to remain with his father's people. He reconciled with the rest of his clan after the birth of his younger sibling, but still remains with his father's people. Like his parents, he is strongly aligned with wind/lightning elemental magic, though on a personal level he rarely uses magic of any sort.
