This is a commission of Kila Sanchez drawn up as a commission by Chad Rocco: and to me, it is a well worth investment. I really like the cartoony details and the implied absurdity displayed in the picture.
For those who've seen the original post seen here: http://www.deviantart.com/art/Kila-513371410 you might notice a tiny change in color in Kila's eyes and teeth. That's because I carefully changed their color with Manga Studio 5 after I saw a distinct color change when I used a different monitor. Kila's teeth came out looking she hadn't brushed her teeth in months. I won't hold this against Chad not just because it's an easy fix for me, but because sometimes I get a similar issue of unintentionally misusing the wrong color when I color something.
Anyways, those of you who are aware of Kila's character would notice that Kila seems to be jumping around in different genres. That's because there will be different variants of Kila, each with their own separate canons and stories. The Kila featured in the picture above will be from a story called 2088, a story set in a dystopian future inspired by the comedic take on Mecha-Kaiju genre, Megas XLR, and the post-apocalyptic webcomic, Endtown, by Aaron Neathery. In 2088, Kila is a bounty hunter with her partners who get tied up in a series of misadventures just to make ends meet. I will work on this story from time to time when I get free time from the ARPR project.
Kila Sanchez belongs to me.
Art done by Chad Rocco.
