In the wintry forests, Thunderhoof was out hunting when heard whimpers nearby.

Rounding a bush, he found a crying pup nestled between the bodies of his parents. Unfortunately, his family had been bested by the other wildlife in the area, as hunters wont to be this time of year. Thunder reached down to the pup and lent out a warm hand, attempting to earn his trust. It rustled inward in response, afraid of this new large being in front of him.

He then reached into his pack and tore off a piece of meat from his hunt that day and offered it to the little one. The pup then crawled out slowly and began nibbling on the torn meat. He yapped in delight, and started hopping around Thunder's front hooves in the snow. Thunder picked up the pup and placed him on his back. "Poor thing, you need a new home."

The gentle rocking of the horseback had lulled the pup to sleep, and Thunder couldn't wait to show his newborn foals another addition to the family.
