this is most helpful, i usually have trouble with the hairline or i end up with a wiedly shaped lower jaw.

I've found it quite useful at times to draw out the hairline before adding the hair~~ And especially to always draw the entire shape of the head! That way I can make sure I don't cut away pieces where a characters cranium should be XD

I love tutorials. Thanks for sharing this with us, Luna_JMS! I don't know that I'll ever use it, per se ... but it doesn't hurt to go over the basics again, especially seeing it in the style of another artist. And, as faces are what I'm having the most trouble with at the time, your timing couldn't have been better.

And the Japanese silliness in the last panel is quite cute, as well. X3 Took me a second, but once I got the nose I started seeing the Hiragana in the other features as well.
