Some pokemon need time to become fully accustomed to their newfound power, and if attacked before that time they could go wild and attack anyone nearby whether it's a foe, a friend, or a stranger. That is why Mega Evolution is both wonderful and dangerous, no matter where or how it's used and why it should only be used if it's necessary, if the pokemon Mega Evolving is used to the power, or if someone that can stop the rampaging mega pokemon is nearby
