"Geniuses are seldom neat."
That was the message on a Smurf poster - with 'Brainy Smurf', working on a formula in his home, which has food, clothes, and other stuff strewn all over the room - I'd seen many years ago. Said message sort of sums up my current existence....
I live a somewhat messy life, which goes all the way back to when I had my own bedroom in the mid-1960s, when the Martinez family moved to Elmont, New York. (I won't go into all the details now - suffice it to say, my mother always got on my case, whenever I'd failed to clean up my room.)
Today, I live in a cluttered condo in Margate, Florida, where my brains churn out cartoons, word puzzles, and other creative endeavors. But my biggest worries are: (1) Being threatened with eviction by the condominium association, if they ever found out how congested my home really is, and (2) having some anonymous individual make me the subject of an episode of the Cable TV series "Hoarders"!
Thus, as a result of my present lifestyle, I had come up with the following "Front & Back" comic, that sums up my living quarters - which I usually describe as 'a landfill with four walls and a ceiling'... (I haven't seen my floor in years!)
