On February 14th 2005 You Tube was launched publicly online.
It was founded by 3 former Pay Pal employees Steve Chen, Chad Hurley, and Jawed Karim who had a vision of video sharing website that allows the online community to connect with various videos where it would be politics, economy and trade, animations, blogs, sports ect but in Hine sight we love it for classic shows and to make new friends who share your same interests.
I went through a down syndrome at the beginning of the new decade as I was finished school and I didn’t know what to do with my life as in one hand I hated who I am loving cartoons as it cost so much hysterics and smart comments towards me.
I wished to be able to see classic shows, movies, songs ect that made me feel good years before hand as I didn’t have any faith in myself and when I found You Tube of July of 2006 I was ecstatic. I loved life again.
I also meet a load of friends who have the same interest as me such as
hedgehogurbie
k9manx90
wolfjedisamuel
furrylovepup
mdtartist83 and all my other friends online.
I found long lost cartoons like ‘Wild West Cowboys of Moo Mesa, Disney Bonkers, Gargoyles, Road Rovers, Archie sect.
I also was happy as You Tube allowed me to see anime’s from my past and present in Japanese as I hated English dubs as it reminded me of a failed cross over project I did with a friend who turned away from the project to laugh at bad English dialogue and that just wreaked of arrogance.
Animes I saw where ‘Dragon Ball, Yu-gi-oh, Sherlock Hound, Pokemon, Devil man, Sailor Moon ect but I also got to see ‘Super Sentai’ which is the Japanese tv show that Power Rangers is based on. I never thought I’d be able to see that but my wish came through.
I’ve been watching since Jun of 2006 and became a member November 2006 and I have been commenting, create playlists, sketching, printing images, screen capturing ever since.
I also liked when the videos went HD in 2008 as that theme had started.
When I heard You Tube was on Xbox live to download that was a dream to watch it full screen through my television.
Problems accrued when Google took charge and they started to flag video’s leading people to hate the site but I’ll mainly member the joy of reseeding the things I love from the past again.

Oh wow, I didn't realize it had already been 10 years. o.o
Your words about the site pretty much sum up my overall experiences with it. The first time I discovered it was by searching online to try and find if anybody had this old Hanna-Barbera cartoon that I had mainly just caught glimpses of on TV before it just disappeared, and although I still didn't find much of it in particular, I did find YouTube for the first time along with some other old cartoons like that. I didn't use it all the much at the time, but I've pretty much traded out normal television for the site nowadays.
It's funny to think back on that and how much things have changed, and remembering how incredibly-different the site looked when it first started as opposed to now.

Wow you and I are very similar. I also didn't play games for 4 years as much as I was busy catching up with sketches of my fave toons. I got a 47 page comic of Moo Mesa done because of You Tube as I waited 8 years to see that again.
Every year I find something from child and teen years to relieve and brings joy to me. It's a classic example of 'Good things come to those who wait.

Yeah, I would agree. And, I found the cartoon again. It was Loopy De Loop, and I had only watched a couple episodes before, but I found it interesting as it had a wolf as the main character, who was specifically trying to be a good guy and help others to clear up bad reputation.
Yea that's the argument made on my picture on deviant art. http://b1k.deviantart.com/art/You-T.....sary-513847663
