Okie Dokie! I will now start Part 1 or Chapter 1 or Episode 1 or whatever you people call after the Prologue.

Sorry if it's a bit short. I'm basically going to be busy with something but I will make the next one longer!

Morning

Today is day 2 of our stay here at Waterfront.

As I get up from my futon, I notice that both Bear and Timmy were still asleep.

Hmmm… They so peaceful sleeping like this.

I should draw on their faces like before. Nah. I’m saving my ink for more ‘productive’ reasons.

I take out my cell phone under my pillow and see that it’s 8:13 AM. Weird. Usually I wake up at 10 or beyond and sometimes give up and sleep in. Wonder why? It feels weird.

With them asleep, I decided to go outside and explore.

I’ll be back when they wake up.

As I stand up and quietly walk out of the room, I went to see if Juuichi or Kenji are up.

When I was about to close the door, I see a note written for Bear on it.

It says, “We went out to our Clubs. Left the Front Door Key near the Entrance. – Juu & Ken”

There’s even a badly drawn peace sign on it. It might be from Kenji since he’s a weirdo.

I have no right to say that…

Speaking of exploring, where would I go first?

……….

Hold on. I remember that we passed by a river yesterday. Maybe I’ll go there and cool off in the river.

So it’s decided. The river it is.

-Waterfront Villager – Riverbed-

It’s a good thing I remember where this place is.

The atmosphere is so relaxing.

Zan:
*takes in a deep breath and exhales*

This is amazing! Is so peaceful and quiet…

I knew I should’ve brought my camera. Then again, experiencing this with my own eyes is better than seeing it through a piece of paper.

As I walk down the gravel path, I notice a big tree nearby.

When I got near it, the size is really different from afar. It’s a really big tree.

I then took a chance and start climbing.

When I was just a kid, I’ve always wanted to try tree climbing. But I was so afraid of falling off that I gave up on the idea.

But now, I think I should try it. What could go wrong?

I begin climbing the tree one grip at a time.

Little by little, I got higher and higher. I think I’m really high up.

I’m afraid of looking down so onward and forward it is.

As I’m nearing the top, the branch on my feet snaps.

With quick reflexes, I was able to grab onto the branch above me.

Phew! That was close…

But not I have bigger problem.

How do I get down?

This is really bad. I feel like one of those inspirational hanging cat posters that says, “Hang in there!”

Now I know how that cat feels.

I’m paralyzed in fear. I couldn't move a single muscle. I couldn't even look down.

There are only two options for me at this moment, pull up or drop down.

………

It’s too high for me to drop down and I don’t have the upper body strength to pull up. Stupid small gamer body.

There’s also the third option to call for help but, that would be stupid if I try that.

Zan:
*gives out voiceless sigh*

I guess I’m stuck here.

Well, that’s not what the tree has in mind.

Moments later, the branch I’m holding onto slowly starts to break.

Zan:
!!!

As I close my eyes and prepare for the worst.

The branch breaks off and now I’m falling to the ground below.

Zan:
…….
…….
???

Huh?

That’s weird

Instead of dirt and rock, I feel something warm next to me.

As I slowly open my eyes. I can see that someone was able to catch me.

???:
Hey ,are you alright?

As my view becomes clear, I can see my catcher well.

It’s a gray male husky wearing a black tank top.

Gray Husky:
It’s a good thing I caught you.
Can you stand up?

Zan:
*nods in agreement*

He then puts me down.

Gray Husky:
Well, try not to climbs trees too high okay.
See ya.

After that, he rubs my head and walks away.

Who is he?

He saved me from falling

………

He’s so cool…

I really want to thank him but I don’t know his name

I wonder if we’ll see each other again.

……..

I think I should go home.

-Kazenari – Bus Stop-

Afternoon

Just like we planned yesterday, here we are at Kazenari. The place Timmy mentioned that has cell phone service.

However, since Timmy has plans back at the village, Bear is here to replace him.

Bear:
Here we are. Kazenari.

I take out my phone and see that there’s 2 signal bars there. Thank Goodness.

Bear:
I see you took out your phone. You should really stop and enjoy life without technology for a moment.

Sorry, but that’s not going to happen. Scratch that, NEVER going to happen.

Bear:
So, what should we do?

Zan:
……….

Bear:
Maybe we can roam around the place if you want.

Zan:
……….

Bear:
Or how about we get some ice cream?

Zan:
……….

Bear:
Or how about we make plans on how to prank Timmy?

Zan:
……….

Suddenly, I feel a quick sharp pain on my forehead.

Zan:
*produces voiceless Ow*

It looks like Bear flicked my forehead.

Zan:
*writing*
“What was that for!?”

Bear:
Oh good, you’re back on Earth.
Is something wrong? You’re not your usual self

………..

I guess I’m still thinking about what this morning.

I just can’t get that husky’s face out of my head.

What is wrong with me?

Bear:
………

Zan:
*writing*
“Don’t flick me again.”

Bear:
I wasn’t planning to. Yet.
So, are you going to tell me?

Zan:
???

Bear:
Dude, we friends. You can tell me anything.
So speak up. Or I should say, write up.

So, as he suggested, I told him everything that happened this morning.

Zan:
*writing*
“And that’s about it.”

Bear:
Hmmm…..
A gray husky…
Did by any chance he was wearing wristbands?

Wristbands? Now that I think about it…

Zan:
*writing*
“Yes! He has them on both arms!”

Bear:
Is that so…
Come on, I’ll take you somewhere quick.

He then grabs onto my hand and drags me somewhere.

A few minutes of running later we eventually stop.

Bear:
Here we are.

I look to my side and I see we’re at a Music Store.

Bear:
Let’s go.

As we got in, a familiar face greets us inside.

Gray Husky:
Welcome!

Zan:

Gray Husky:
