For this one, I used a Rocksmith cable to plug my guitar into my laptop and then added some amp effects and stuff later.
I recorded my vocals with a Blue Yeti Microphone.
All edited in Adobe Audition.

Doesn't matter at all! I didn't even know the original, but I'd say it's always better to transpose a piece into the singers comfort zone.
