BINGO. That was his original backstory. Former Freakshow who decided to defect, they didn't like that so they ripped out his cybernetics and dumped him in Atlas park to be humiliated by any number of newbie heroes. OutRage found him and got him healthy again (they also hooked up ;)). It turns out that Shock had WAY better tech in him than the Freaks thought. He had laced his own tattoo ink with nanotech and THAT can't be ripped out. Slowly but surely the systems repaired themselves and he built himself a new bionic arm. With that, he registered to become a hero.

THAT was the old story. With CO and DCUO, I'm changing all my character's backstories to be much more involved and worthwhile.

I still don't understand why you don't write :P you come up with such amazing ideas that could be taken so much further
