In an alternative ending in which Cornelius and Velvet survived Armageddon, but yet were unable to find all the Valentinian coins, they would have to live out the Pooka curse for an eternity.
Although even in their current state, their love would still carry on and bring in a new generation of Pooka to share the new world with.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! This picture doesn't have everything to do with Valentine's Day, but I wanted to share this anyways! Here's a pregnant Velvet alongside her lover Cornelius, both still under the Pooka curse.
Odin Sphere is definitely one of my favorite games ever. I'd be happy to replay the entire thing if only I had all the time in the world to do so.
And why yes, this sort of picture is completely non-canonical to the game's lore in more ways than one! I won't list them out though, because none of you would be interested. I just wanted to see this idea in a picture because I wanted to.
